I was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. I attended and graduated from Florida State University in 1992 with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Fine Art and Art Education.  I then moved to Douglasville, Georgia to teach Elementary Art and I currently live in Hiram, GA.

This is my 26th year at Winston Elementary teaching Art Education. I have been at various schools through out my teaching career. I have taught at Chapel Hill Elementary for 5 years (1992-1997) , Bright Star Elementary for 2 years (1997-1999), Annette Winn Elementary for 1 year (2003-2004) , North Douglas Elementary for 4 years (2004-2008) and Winston Elementary for 26 years (1992-2017).

I received my Masters of Art in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova South Eastern University in 2009.

I was the Teacher of the Year for Winston Elementary for the school year  of 2015 - 2016.

I have always been interested in Art , even as a small child. I can not remember a time when I was not creating some type of art.

I am married with 3 children.
