I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the 

State University of West Georgia in 1992.

This year will be my 25th year at Winston. This is my ninth year teaching second grade. I previously taught third grade for 16 years.

My teaching career began many years ago after being a stay at home mom. With my involvement as a room parent, I became motivated  to become a teacher. While my two daughters were attending Winston Elementary, I decided to go back to school to become an educator.  I am very proud of my daughters' accomplishments. One daughter is a sales representative for a large company  and the other teaches in a suburb of Savannah, Georgia.  I have lived in Douglas County for 28 years and taught third grade for 16 years, at WES. This is my ninth year teaching second grade. Winston Elementary is and will always be, a special place to me.
